Founded in 1998, our company began with an obscure vision to design and create furniture that had all the characteristics of an heirloom. We called it “Modern Antiquities” at the time, and had a lovely carved sign hanging in the two car garage where we imagined making history, but barely even made money.

Many beautiful and intricate pieces later, the decision came to change the often misunderstood business name to “Oregon Woodcrafters.” This new label still failed to capture the diversifying platform of work and trades we were delving into.

It didn’t take long to realize we needed a name that would captivate the essence of creativity and the latest mastery of skills. In 2002, the proprietorship, Handcraft Northwest, led the procession as we expanded into full scale remodeling and additions. Through the years however, we have felt the tide pulling at us to revisit our roots. The decision to pull original skills and a new vision together is the asset we now present to you:
